"Easy to find from the train station, friendly staff, and well kitted out, clean rooms. oise levels were also pretty good, especially considering there was football on. The kitchen was a little cramped, but nothing unusual for a youth hostel. Considering the price, we were very happy with out stay."

"I genuinely don’t understand the logic. If a person walks into reception and immediately fills the entire area with an overwhelming odour, why are they then allowed to head upstairs and subject an entire floor of guests to it for days on end? Our four-night stay was completely overshadowed by one guest whose presence was impossible to ignore. The smell lingered in corridors, communal areas, and even seeped into nearby rooms. Every time they passed through the building, the entire floor knew about it.||||What is most frustrating is that this was clearly not a subtle issue. The odour was noticeable from the moment the guest entered the building, meaning staff had every opportunity to address the situation before it became a problem for dozens of paying guests. Instead, everyone else was left to endure an environment that was unpleasant, unhygienic, and frankly unacceptable.||||Guests pay for a clean and comfortable stay, not to spend four days avoiding common areas, holding their breath in hallways, and wondering why management failed to intervene when the problem was so obvious. It completely soured what would otherwise have been an enjoyable stay."

"I had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of the city centre and riverside areas. The hostel was clean, well organised, and felt safe throughout my stay. My room was simple but comfortable, with clean bedding and sufficient storage space. The shared bathrooms were well maintained and regularly cleaned.The staff were friendly, professional, and happy to help with directions and local tips, which made settling in very easy. I also appreciated the communal areas, which were relaxed and suitable for catch up with other travellers or just unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Overall, this hostel offers very good value for money and is a great choice for budget-conscious travellers visiting the city."

"Got the 4 bed room to myself. The wifi was good enough for a zoom meeting, and there was a PowerPoint and light at each bed. The staff were friendly, and very helpful, even posting a lost item for me. The location was convenient, with short walking distance from the train station, though it could have been closer to the Center; It is within walking distance from the collages, but it's a decent walk, definitely doable. The bathrooms and showers were not in the room, but in the hallway, and there was water on the floor in around half the shower rooms. 4.75 stars, will book again when I'm next in Cambridge."

"Excellent hostel with a calm atmosphere and cool and collected staff that are helpful and kind. Rooms are tidy and bathrooms are plentiful, and the kitchen is well equipped. I did not use the breakfast but it looked good. The location is also perfect, 5 mins from the station and a 10 ~ 15 min walk into the exact center of town. Recommended. Happy to see YHA keeping it real."
