"Quite disappointing experience. For a service that costs almost £1k called Full Structural Survey, we were expecting some in-depth insights about the property. Instead of we got a basic report that included phrases like: "the water appears to have been turned off" "The internal stopcock we believe is under the kitchen sink", and no attempt of turning the water on was made to do even basic check of the installation. The surveyor ignored additional questions that we had, and our request for additional (in our view reasonable and expected) checks were point blank refused. It's literally someone having a 1h (at most) walk in the property, looking at what's clearly visible, with no additional equipment, making comments that give 0 additional insights into the state of the property. I would be curious to see what level 2 or 1 survey of the same building would be, because it's hard to imagine what less information could have been given."
